We offer the very best performance and skill development coaching courses for sea kayakers, from beginner to advanced, designed to take your paddling to the next level. All courses are delivered by highly experienced advanced coaches with extensive sea kayaking experience - from long multi-day expeditions to tide race play, to rock hopping, surfing, and paddling in wind and swell.
We ensure our courses utilise the best venues available, whilst providing individualised coaching underpinned by tried and tested technical skills. Our performance coaching is delivered in a style which supports and challenges you in just the right way, aiming to really build long-lasting confidence.

Anglesey Rough Water and
Tide Race Developer Course
(4 days)
Course Aims:
This comprehensive 4 day programme of skill development will look at the full repetoire of personal paddling skills for more dynamic water environments, including: moving water and tide races, stronger winds and bigger swells, along with surfing and rockhopping.
We will develop the use of cast iron tactics and technical skills for these environments, along with developing good decision making principles. Alongside this, we will explore the key strategies for managing safety within a team when paddling in rougher water. A key aim will be to build confidence in these environments, so you begin to start seeing these places as playgrounds for enjoyment, rather than places to avoid and fear.

Who is this course for?
This is the ideal course for the intermediate sea kayaker, who is reasonably comfortable paddling in F4 winds and some swell, and looking to paddle in more dynamic water with style and confidence, and are more reliable performance skilset.

About Anglesey:
The Island of Anglesey is argubaly one of the finest locations for paddlers to develop these dynamic water skills. With a wide variety of moving water and tide race venues, rocky coastlines, surf beaches and a good potential for exposure to wind and swell. There are so many options readily available, whatever the wind direction, to paddle, learn and develop. We will aim to utilise the very best venues and learning environments, utilising our expert local knowledge.

What's included:
The week includes a Britsh Canoeing Awarding Body personal performance award for those that are keen to gain certification.
​Cost includes all coaching a guiding. You would need to source your own food and accommodation (recommendations available)

Oban Tide Race Developer
(4 days)
Course Aims:

We will develop the use of cast iron tactics and technical skills for moving water and tide race environments, along with developing good decision making principles. Alongside this, we will explore the key strategies for managing safety within a team when paddling in tidal waters. A key aim will be to build confidence in these environments, so you begin to start seeing these places as playgrounds for enjoyment, rather than places to avoid and fear.

About Oban:
The Oban area is argubaly an excellent location for paddlers to develop these dynamic water skills. Venues such as the Cuan Sound, Falls of Lora, Sound of Luing and The Grey Dog offer excellent training grounds. We will aim to utilise the very best venues and learning environments, utilising our expert local knowledge.
This course will be based from Kayaker's Cove at Cuan on the Isle of Seil.
